Out the Door

By Jason Payton

La Die Die Die Die La Die Die Die

Well I knew right then and there
That I shouldn't even dare
To take my luck and take it off a'wandering
But I grabbed my guns and shoes
And I found the bluest blues
'Til I found myself blind in all my ponderin'

Oh a'wanderin
Its been seven years or more
And I've never kept the score
Still somehow it seems like I'm losin
A'Cruisin out the door

I think I'll take my hat
And put it squarely back
Right where I lost it so long ago
I followed that lonesome star
And you know it took me far
And you know these holes in my clothes are all I have to show

Oh so long ago
It's been seven years or more
And I've never kept the score
Still somehow it seems like I'm losin
A' cruisin out the door

Well if I make it home
I know I'll never roam
I gonna find a good place for sittin
And if I need to leave
Or there's something up my sleeve
I might just write a song and keep on pickin

Just a'sittin
Its been seven years or more
And I've never kept the score
Still somehow it seems like I'm losin
A'cruisin out the door
